Wednesday September 20th 1916 We got the trunk up this morning and I unpacked it and put things to right. we walked out to see Ott & Marie in afternoon. He came home with us and Marie later for supper. We went through the shingle mill. we all went to the picture show in the evening. weather fine. wrote home. Thursday September 21st 1916 We visited and I wrote some in forenoon. After dinner Lizzie and I took a ride. It was such a pretty drive. spent te evening at home. a letter from Tishie. LeGrand has gone to Philadelphia to school. We get "The Press" daily. Friday September 22nd 1916 Spent forenoon at home with fancy work. Walked out to Rob Lindleys in afternoon a letter from Maurice Culbertson. one from Hattie. Rob has been sick with a cold. Saturday September 25th 1916 It was a fine day. I walked with Lizzie Ott & Mrs Shore up near [Dryed?] to a dinner party. We had a fine dinner. A letter from Ott. he has collected more interest. Rob is better of his cold. Uncle Jim slowly failing. Sunday September 24th 1916 It was cloudy and we did not attempt to go to church. I wrote some in the morning and read a book in the afternoon. Lizzie has a lot of good books that keeps Will busy his spare time. We four sat around the store and visited till late bed-time.
