Saturday October 7th 1916 We left Centralia for Tacoma before eleven oclock. When we arrived there got a Taxi to take us out to Day Island where Art Robinson lives. We found the folks nicely situated in a beautiful spot on Puget Sound. We spent the evening visiting. I wrote home. We did not get to bed early. Sunday October 5th 1916 Soon as we had breakfast part of the folks went to hunt clams. After early lunch we all started to Point Defiance Park. Mrs R left the little girl with her sister on the way and Arthur had gone down to visit Ott Seibert. It was beautiful place and we had a great time there together. We followed the shore line of the Sound for a long way to watch them take in a net of salmon. It was dark when we got home as we stopped for the little girl on the way. Monday October 9th 1916 Will Lizzie Ott & I left on the 8:15 taxi for Tacoma to get on the 9:00 oclock boat for Seattle. It was a nice little trip that took two hours. We got early dinner at a fine place to eat and Will and I went on a sight seeing tour of a part of Seattle. The girls went to a show. We met at Pioneer Place a little after three and went home on the urban train at four oclock. Reaching Tacoma in time for the 5:30 Taxi out to Day island. We reached there at 6:00 oclock. The weather was perfectly delightful. We wished we might have stayed longer. We spent a pleasant evening all together till late bed-time
