Tuesday October 24th 1916 It rained a good deal of the time today. I did the work and took cade of my throat. It is better. Will at home. Wednesday October 25th 1916 I feel quite a bit better. Hattie was out for all day. I did a little fancy work. Read in the evening. Thursday October 26th 1916 I did some baking in forenoon. Will went to town at 1:15 and I an hour later. I went down to the Rock Island Depot and turned in our tickets. I walked back down town to get some things. We came home together at 3:30. I wrote LeGrand and Lizzie Lindley today. Friday October 26th 1916 It was a splendid day. Will helped me do a big washing and he went down to see Mary Woolf in the afternoon. I did part of the ironing. I had a letter from Henry Flint & wife. They were disappointed we did not see them. Saturday October 28th 1914 I was very busy in forenoon finished ironing and baking bread. Will went down town a car ahead of me. He wanted to find the man who has rented the West Farm. Phillip Murphy who has been there the last year wants to buy it. I met Ida Anderson and we went to a play "The Two Queens" it was good. I did not get home till 5:30 Soon had supper and did fancy work in the evening. Cora is in Des Moines. Ott to Marengo for the day. The girls busy with P E O meeting. It rained some in the evening.
