Sunday October 29th 1916 It rained all the forenoon. I wrote so me letters during the day one to Nellie Lee, Edith Moon, Warner McCall. I read a book all evening. a restful day. Monday October 30th 1916 I did some more washing this morning. The clothes dried in a few minutes. I went down to Mary Woolfs in the afternoon. Tishie brought me home in the buggy. She was coming out for flour. Tuesday October 31st 1918 I ironed and got the dinner. I went to town at 2:15 and up to Aunt Libs. Had a nice visit with her and Hattie & Fannie called there. I went home with Hattie and later We went to hear Charlotte Land sing. I came home at 10:30 Wednesday November 1st 1916 I was busy about the work most of the forenoon. I talked with Mary Woolf quite awhile on the phone about Parson Russell being dead. I went down town at 1:15 got our bank books. Went to a picture show. "David Harris" and then up to Mrs Carmin's to an Aid meeting. Got home on the 5:30 Thursday November 2nd 1916 The folks took an early start for Des Moines to bring Cora home tomorrow. I was down town in afternoon looking for samples to get a dress. Was up in the officer with Ott awhile. Home at 4:30 Letters from Millie Byington, Lydia Mason & Mrs Wilson of Des Moines. wrote Lydia Friday November 3rd 1916 was busy all forenoon. Went down at 2:15 and out to Mrs Emmons to plan a dress. Got one and sent to her and another I brought home come at 5:30. The folks home from Des Moines at supper time. weather fine.
