[Clipped from printed matter] Ears were first invented years ago. At that time they were ornamental as well as useful. School teach- ers and parents found ears very handy in leading the younger generation. About that time ears were re- garded as handles rather than ears. Nowadays ears are used mostly to keep egg-heads young men from falling through their collars and as a place to rest their hats on.
