Monday February 6th 1917 We were home all day. I did a little writing and worked on my bed spread. The freeze has done great damage to the fruit and it nearly killed the gardens. Tuesday February 8th 1917 We were home all day. I wrote a long letter to Hattie and finished one block of my quilt and began another. It is warming up nicely. I had a letter from Mrs [Walkins?] in Jacksonville. Wednesday February 7th 1917 A fine day. Mrs Falk went to town for the day. I did some washing and got the dinner. Mrs Falk and Will had been in and walked out. I had a letter from Hattie. Mrs F- had forgotten mine so I opened it, wrote more, and sent it down by a man who brought some thing out from town for her. Mrs Falk and I went to town with Walter and to the show. Thursday February 8th 1917 I was up to Taylors awhile in forenoon. I went up in afternoon to go see town with them but at the gate we met The Mooreheads, Mrs Slemmons and Mr Love coming out here. They came on down and I with them. Spent evening at home. Friday February 9th 1917 I was up at Taylors in the forenoon. Will went to shoot some birds and got enough for our supper which Mrs Falk cooked first class. I had a good letter from Lydia and one from Cora. It has been awful cold with them. Mrs Falk and I went down with Walter as there was a band concert tonight. We went to a good picture show.
