Monday February 26th 1917 We went up through the Old Spanish Fort soon after our breakfast. It was wonderful as has been every thing here. I soon got our things ready and we went to the station. It was after noon when we got to Jacksonville. Got dinner where we had breakfast come don. They walked up near the park where we got a room for $1.00 a day. Down town in evening. Tuesday February 27th 1917 We walked down to boat landing in morning. We rested after dinner and went out to call at Dr Watkins. His mother started home yesterday. We were in the park listening to the band after we came back and down town after supper. which we had at the morning house. The men paid for oysters. Wednesday February 28th 1917 We went down town and got a reservation on The Dixie Flyer for home for the 11th of March. Soon after we got back found the lady who had engaged our room was coming and we would have to give it up. We found one in the same block at the same price and moved in it after dinner. We did not go out as there was a slight shower. Walked down town after supper. Thursday March 1st 1917 I was down street in the morning. I got a letter from both Ott & Hattie and wrote both of them. Late in the afternoon we went out to 50 West 8th Street to visit The Watkins we had a very pleasant time till after nine oclock. It was such a beautiful evening we sat on the porch with the folks at the rooming house till after ten oclock. The Miss Rodgers 20 West Duval St.
