Friday May 18th 1917 I washed a quilt and some other things. Will mowed the yard. I went to town at 3:15 to get some things and mail a letter to Lydia. I had time to write after doing the washing. I went back to town at 7:15 to look at a Victrola. Hattie went with me. I did not buy it. Saturday May 19th 1917 I was busy in the kitchen all forenoon. Will went to town at 1:15. I did up the work and sewed the rest of the afternoon. Will Graham told Will he could not buy the farm now. So we gave Mr Cash a 60 days option, Sunday May 20th 1917 I wrote letters most of the day. I did not feel like going to church and though to go to S. U. I Vespers at 4 p.m. But it began to rain then. I read all evening. The Whetstones took The Blooms to Belle Plains for the day. Monday May 21st 1917 I went down to mail letters and get some things from the store. It rained in afternoon. I was sewing and worked some on the square for my bed-spread. Tuesday May 23rd 1917 I was busy with the work but took time to write LeGrand a letter before dinner time. I went down on the 1:15 car which was late to spend the afternoon over the river. Hattie and I were with Fannie till nearly supper time. When we went up home Will was there. We came home at 8:30. weather cool. Ott told Will there was a contract to see the farm at the end of 60 days.
