Monday May 28th 1917 I fixed the oil cloth in the kitchen and got the dinner. I went down town at 3:15 to get some things for dinner tomorrow. I made fruit salad and did other work in the evening. The painter are at work on the fence. Tuesday May 29th 1917 Rob is 34 years old today. The family were out for the day. We had a pleasant visit. It began to rain as they were ready to go home. I am finished the lace for Fannies table cloth. Wednesday May 30th 1917 It rained all day long. What a day for Decoration. I had a not intended going any way. I worked all my spare time at crotchet work. At 6:15 I went with Frankie Paintain to The Englert to see the reel of "Oliver Twist." We come home in a rain. Letters from Mollie & Mrs Love of Erie PA Thursday May 31st 1917 I was busy with several things in forenoon and spent the afternoon down at Woolfs. The painters were here all day again. I had a letter from Edith Mason. Friday June 1st 1917 I was very busy all forenoon. at 3:15 I went down to Fannies and Will came later for supper. It was 30 years today since Ott & Fannie were married. Ott had been down to Riverside laying a law suit He was down there Wednesday after getting home Tuesday right from Texas. It began raining at 8:30 as we came home on that car. I finished Fannies cloth and took it home.
