Wednesday July 11th 1917 I got through with the morning work very nicely. Hattie and Birdie came out at 2:30 and I let them get the supper so they did not go home till 8:45. I wrote Lydia. Thursday July 12th 1917 I washed a few things this morning and did some baking. I sewed in the afternoon (after I had slept awhile) doing some mending for Will. A hard storm last night. Friday July 13th 1917 I ironed some in the morning. Rob & Cora were out for a call. I spelt all the afternoon. After supper I rode down town with Bud Jones to Dr Smith's office. He gave me another bottle of medicine. I got home at 7:40. We sat on the porch till bed-time. Saturday July 14th 1917 I baked a cake and was busy with the work all forenoon. I got ready after dinner and Rob came for Will & I. We were both at Hatties for supper as well as Ott & Fannie. came home at 7:30. I had a letter from Lydia. They have company so Vene don't know when she will come. Sunday July 15th 1917 I was busy about the work all forenoon and slept some after dinner. I wrote a long letter to Mrs Falk. I read the papers some and sat on the porch with Will. Monday July 16th 1917 I washed a little and got the dinner. I slept all afternoon and did some fancy work. I do not feel at all well. I have such a very sore, very [illeg] throat and mouth. The folks hear from LeGrand and William.
