Monday August 20th 1917 I washed the squares of my crotcheted spread in the morning. They dried very soon and in the afternoon I sewed part of them together. I slept some. We sat on the porch all evening. Tuesday August 21st 1917 I washed a few pieces in forenoon and got the dinner so I went home at 1:15 and Rob took me over the river. I spent the afternoon visiting with Albert & Edith Whetstone. They were invited to Coras for supper and she invited I come over too. The folks brought me home. Will coming for a ride. Wednesday August 22nd 1917 Will went to town on the 9:15 car to see the show parade. I did not think it best to go. When he found the folks were all going to the show he went home with Ott to dinner and went with them. He only had time to eat supper and went back give testimony about the value of the Folsom land The State is to take. Frankie Paintain spent the evening with me. Finished the spread and put it on the bed. Thursday August 23rd 1917 I wrote a letter to Ida and a card to The Reed girls. I was down to the store for some things and got the dinner. I rested in afternoon. We sat on the porch in evening. I have a headache. A frightful windy day. Friday August 24th 1917 I got the dinner over so I went down at 1:15 and up to Hatties to see The Blackburns who arrived last night in their car. Later we all went down to Fannies to a little party a pleasant affair. LeGrand brought me home. too cold to sit on the porch.
