Monday September 3rd 1917 It was late when we got up so the forenoon was shot. There was a Club meeting at Fannies but Birdie and I stayed at home to visit. Evening at home too. Paul Helmich back tonight. Tuesday September 4th 1917 There was an all day meet of the Aid Committee at Fannies. I did not care to go so Rob had his dinner with me and brought me out home. I wrote some and got things to take back at 5:15. Went home with Rob. LeGrand and Paul spent the evening with us. [word?] says Will staid all night in Peoria. Wednesday September 5th 1917 I was down at Fannies in forenoon and over to Aunt Libs in afternoon. Rob took me over but it looked so much like rain I hurried home about 5 oclock. It did rain very hard some after. Ott & Fannie were up in evening. Thursday September 6th 1917 There was a hard rain and storm in the night. Birdie went to Cedar Rapids at 10:30 and I came out to Coralville I did some writing and back at 12:15 after dinner LeGrand took me over to see Mrs Dr Smith. I came down town so as to go home with Hattie at 6 oclock. She had been to Red Cross [home?] Friday September 7th 1917 I was busy at home all morning and spent part of PM over at Mollie Folsoms. Cora had company and Hattie and Fannie were in town to a church meeting. I had a letter from Lydia. It is likely Will does not come till next week. Hattie and I spent evening at Otts.
