Friday September 28th 1917 I was at home all day. The Whetstones were here before we had breakfast for some tomatoes I had for Hattie. I was sewing all my spare time. Henry Bently is in town to attend the M E Conference. I talked with him over the phone. Saturday September 29th 1917 I called Orie Spencer this morning. She said her mother was slightly better. I baked a couple of pies to take down for the Old Ladies Home benefit dinner. Will went with me to dinner. We had invitied Bently to come. He was very late so we saw little of him. Will came home at 4:30. I stayed longer to take my treatment. a card from Birdie at Zanesville Ohio. Sunday September 30th 1917 I went to church this morning and there was a wonderful audience to hear Bishop Cooke. I happened to sit down jist across the aisle from Bently so he moved over with me. I was going over to Hatties to dinner but he had another engagement. I rode over with Dr Lamberts Hattie had dinner ready. Soon after I went down to Otts to see George Bremmer. He left about 2:30 and then Fannie went with the Whetstones and I down to see Mildred Mc-- and the new baby. We stopped at Aunt Ellens and got back to town so I came home at 5:30. Got supper and read all evening. Monday October 1st 1917 I was sewing all the spare time I had. Hattie was over with Orie all day as Aunt Lib is very bad. I had a nice letter from Lydia. They may get the lights yet. Will had 6 tones of coal put in this afternoon.
