Sunday December 23rd 1917 Will & I went to church. Rob brought us home and we had dinner alone. Hattie was invited out. Agnes Anderson who used to be with Hattie would be married today at her home. Will & Emily Bremmer gone to Otts for a visit. We spent part of afternoon at Otts. Evening at home. wrote Lydia. Monday December 24th 1917 I knit some what spare time I had. Hattie was busy with the work. Hattie with LeGrand driving and some of the folks at the other house went to town. Later the folks were all here for supper & spent the evening. We looked at some of our present tonight. Tuesday December 25th 1917 We went over to Robs soon as we had breakfast to look at their things and found more for our selves. Then we all went on to Otts to look at theirs. They had sent ours up home last night. Fannie had a fine dinner. We did not come hone till bed-time. Had supper too. Will & Emily went at 3:35. William to Ottumwa early tomorrow. Wednesday December 26th 1917 We were busy at home in forenoon. I went to town with Rob at one oclock to have Leslie fix my teeth. Then to Dr Smiths office. To Coralville at 3:15 to get some mail and a few things at the house. I came back at 4:30 and stopped at Fannies. The Swishers were there and Fanny served nice lunch. We came home to get supper for Will. Spent evening at home. The folks worked.
