Thursday January 17th 1918 weather about the same. Will up town in afternoon I wrote Fannie & Mrs Sevier. letter from Lizzie Lindley. I finished mittens and began on other work. got home paper. Friday January 18th 1918 Vene was washing some and I helped with the work. I went up town about two oclock did some errands and went to Mrs Waynes to a meeting by invitation from Lizzie Duncan. Later Will met us at the church where we had a fine supper. It was so cold we came right home. Stella and her husband came this evening for a visit. No mail today. Saturday January 19th 1918 Stella and Lydia are making her a dress. I tried to help Vene with the work. A very cold morning. I wrote Hattie after dinner and went up town. was down to Lizzie Duncans till after supper. Will met me at McClays drug store. We got a paper in evening mail. All went to bed about ten oclock. Sunday January 20th 1918 Not quite so cold. It was late when we had breakfast. I went to the M E Church where Union services were held. I read most of the afternoon. Wrote Fannie & Tishie. The Websters went home at 6:45. We visited till bed-time. Monday January 21st 1918 The day did not amount to much for things accomplished. I had to take our part of the center piece I had made. The afternoon I spent in doing some mending. We had a letter from Hattie & Ott. The paper came too. a cold day.
