Thursday February 7th 1918 I went up town this morning. Very pleasant the snow is melting fast. I sewed in the afternoon finishing up my pillow cases and hemmed a couple of napkins. I had letters from Ott & Hattie. Friday February 8th 1918 There was such a fog all day you could not see across the street. Vene went to the funeral of a neighbor in the afternoon (Mr Hoff). I have suffered with my feet today so I had to wear my crotcheted slippers. I wrote to Ott & Fannie today. Will home all day. Saturday February 9th 1918 I was busy in my room part of the short forenoon. I went up town some after dinner. I got a pair of loose slippers and some money at Baldwins Bank. I then went down to Lizzie Duncans. got home at supper time. Will up town after supper but no mail. Sunday February 10th 1918 A fine day. Will & I went to The M E Church in the morning. I read in afternoon. We sat around the stove to talk all the evening. Monday February 11th 1918 We had a letter from Warner McCall today. he is nicely settled in New Orleans. I wrote to him and Hattie. Will went to the Central depot before supper to tell the man to get reservations on the Central for next Thursday. we will plan to go to New Orelans that day. It was a fine day. Vene did washing and the clothes all got dry.
