Saturday March 23rd 1918 I was down at Janes most of the time making a bag for Ella. I went up to the room to change my dress before going to supper. a letter from Hattie and I wrote to her. The papers tonight tell of awful battles in Europe. Sunday March 24th 1918 a beautiful day. Mrs Joyce did not go to church with me as she had to go to The Hospital to see Mrs Shelton. I went to The Christian Church and met Will at Art Mc-- where we were invited for dinner. We rode in the car most of the afternoon. All over the town. Went to supper and read in evening. This was both Fathers and Cousin Ira's birthday. Monday March 25th 1918 I was busy about the room in forenoon. Came down to Janes soon as I had dinner. a letter from Millie Byington. The weather is delightful. We were at home all the evening. Tuesday March 26th 1918 I come down town in the morning to see about trains. I wrote Lydia in the afternoon. Will and I were both at Janes for supper. We hurried to the room thinking it would rain. Read in evening. Wednesday March 27th 1918 I do not feel very well. I was down to Janes in the afternoon and Will came later. We both stayed till after supper. I have not felt very well. I had a letter from Hattie and wrote to her. I read to Will most of the evening. very little rain in the evening. It may be this weather being so hot early makes my head ache something new for me.
