Saturday May 25th 1918 It was a sultry trying day. I sewed a little and wrote to Ida & Millie. Will did not go to town. he cut part of the yard as hot as it was. I talked to Mrs Bert [Moharma?] and she told me Flora Mygott Plato died in Washington DC May 1st and was buried beside her husband. Sunday May 26th 1918 A most wretched day. I lay on the couch up stairs all of the day except for the little time it took for the meals. It was warm and I sat on the porch with Will after supper Monday May 27th 1918 I wrote Hattie and put a paper in a wrapped for Lydia. I went down town soon after dinner. Went to the Library for books and did some errands. Home at 4:30. I read in the evening. Tuesday May 28th 1918 I was busy all forenoon with baking &. I rested awhile and change my dress after dinner. Rob & Cora were out for supper. After they went home I read aloud to Will. Wednesday May 29th 1918 Rob Whetstones is 35 years old today. It rained most of the forenoon. Will went to town to have dentist work done. I got out some sewing in the afternoon. Word from Hattie tells Albert was buried Monday and the last of the week She and Fannie go to New York to see William and then to Washington DC for a short stop. Hattie will then go back to Everett for awhile. I spent a wretched evening with head ache. very warm. What can be the matter with me.
