Tuesday July 30th 1918 I took time to write to Hattie in forenoon. I had dinner so I went down at 1:24. Rob met me and took me out to Dr Smiths to attend Mrs Smith funeral. I shall miss my dear friend very much. It was a beautiful day to lay her away. I came down town to do some errands and home at 4:30. Read in evening. Was down to Mrs Robinsons a little while. Wednesday July 31st 1918 I left home at 10:01 and went over the river. Cora & Fannie were jist ready to start down to Stevens for the day. A pleasant visit with Dorothy & Mildred there with the children. We got back in time for me to get home on the 6 oclock car. a beautiful day. Thursday August 1st 1918 I went down to the store of an errand and knit some before dinner. I knit all afternoon. Friday August 2nd 1918 I knit a little in forenoon and fixed the sleeves to a white dress in afternoon. I do not feel well. Rob & Cora to Chicago. Saturday August 3rd 1918 I have a severe attack of bladder trouble again. Dr Smith came out early in forenoon. I was in bed only at meal times. Sister Ida is at Otts looking for a house to live in here. Sunday August 4th 1918 Still suffering very much in bed all day. The folks all came out for a call in the forenoon. very warm day.
