Sunday September 22nd 1918 I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. Did a little writing. Cora and Fannie came in The Chandler and took us for a long ride in afternoon. I read aloud to Will in evening. Fine day. Monday September 23rd 1918 Will helped me do a big washing. It was a fine day. I rested after dinner and ironed some plain things of the line. I read in the evening. Tuesday September 24th 1918 I ironed in the forenoon. Will was working at the wood. Mrs Jones was over awhile in the afternoon b to talk about war work. I knit some. Read in the evening. Wednesday September 25th 1918 I wrote a card of condolence to Mrs Forgy & sister on the loss of their brother. Mrs Jones was over a little while. I went to town at 1:24 and to The Library where I wrote a letter to Lydia. I then went up to Mrs Abrams to a meeting of "Division 2." I expected to start home at 4:30. The car was late so I got to see "The Shriner Parade." Thursday September 26th 1918 I was over to Mrs Jones a few moments. I finished one pair of "Buds" socks. I went down town at 1:24 and to The Library to change a couple of books. Then out to Idas where I stayed for supper. Home at 8 oclock. Ott got back last night from [Cresco?] Iowa & LeGrand and Fannie from Marshalltown in "The Dodge." They all went away Tuesday.
