Sunday November 10th 1918 Will got up early to go to Burlington with The Whetstones. Ida came last night. Will Bremmer called with LeGrand to see me at noon. They went in the afternoon. I was on the bed most of the day. Will got home at 7 oclock. They had a fine day of it. Monday November 11th 1918 We were awakened before day light with whistles blowing. People got out and marched as "Peace" had been declared. Will was down town in the forenoon. He said the crowd was wonderful. After dinner The Folks came for Ida & Aunty to see the parade. I was up more today. weather fine. Tuesday November 12th 1918 Ida and I went down town in the morning. Took treatment and payed bills for things for table here.
