Wednesday December 18th 1918 Ruth & I were busy doing things about the house in the forenoon. Hattie was out in the afternoon. I started to fix my lavender dress. I wrote Mrs Joyce in the evening. Thursday December 19th 1918 Ruth washed this morning. I was busy with some other things. It was a beautiful day. We came away at 1:24. I had to see Dr Bronson and went back at 3:15. I got more mail. Ruth was at home and came back at 4:30. I took the clothes from the line. What Will used to do when I was away. How I missed his face at the window as I came to the house. Frankie Pointain here in the evening. I wrote Vene. Ruth & I packed up the fruit after supper. Friday December 20th 1918 Ruth ironed this forenoon. I am fixing my dress, and sewed all afternoon. She went over to the school house to a program. It rained some. I packed my trunk in the evening. Saturday December 21st 1918 I put a few more things in my trunk and Ed Jones brought it with fruit and things I had read to bring down to Hatties before noon. Will Anderson had come out of an errant and he helped put them in the waggon. We got dinner over and prepared the house to leave it as Will & I always did. Came down at 2:54. I went to Otts office and signed a new Will Ott had prepared. Rob brought me home. I cane see how I have lived through what I had to do. We had supper at Cora's. I was utterly worn out and went to bed early.
