Wednesday January 1, 1919 Rob & Cora had the folks there for dinner. William got home this morning. Cora sent my dinner over. Ott & Fannie here for a call. wrote some letters in evening. Thursday January 2nd 1918 A very cold day. Hattie went to town in afternoon. I got more mail and did some more writing. I do not get up till noon so I do not get so tired and the days are not so long. Friday January 3rd 1919 Still very cold. I did not get up till noon. Hattie went down to Fannies and called at Mrs Teeters. I wrote more letters. Saturday January 4th 1919 Some pleasanter. I was up in the afternoon and wrote more. Hattie was in town awhile. William went away tonight. Sunday January 5th 1918 This is Mothers birthday. Rob went to Coralville and brought down Wills fur coat which I gave to Ott. Hattie went to church and Mary Woolf, Cora, LeGrand with Ott & Fannie were here in the afternoon. Monday January 6th 1919 I did not get up till dinner time. I wrote some letters in the afternoon and then again after supper. to bed early. Tuesday January 7th 1919 I did not gt up till noon. It was some warmed and Hattie and I were to go to Ida's. The car was out of order so we had a taxi. They kept us for supper. We got home before seven oclock. I was so tired and depressed I went to bed early.
