Sunday February 9th 1919 I got up to eat breakfast with the family and did nothing but rest and visit. Vene and I talked together in the evening. Monday February 10th 1919 I did not get up till nearly noon. The girls went away early to school. Vene washed. Frank & Sophie Woolf here in afternoon. I had a letter from Hattie with one from Fannie enclosed I wrote LeGrand enclosing a check for $50.00. a fine day. Two months today since I heard Wills dear voice. Tuesday February 11th 1919 Did not get up till nearly noon. Lizzie Duncan wanted me to come over there but I expected Dr McClay and grandson who is here from Camp Merritt to call. I took a little walk and found them and Mrs [Gliser?] here. Had letter from Ott card from Cora. Wednesday February 12th 1919 I did not get up till noon. I wrote to Hattie in the afternoon. Sallie Sheley called after she was gone I walked up to the depot to mail letter. a letter from The Forney girls at Burlington. Thursday February 13th 1919 I did not get up till noon. It was a drizzling day. Edith [rode?] both ways. I visited with the folks and washed the dinner dishes. a paper from Ott to sign. I got the Press too. Friday February 14th 1919 I got up at noon as it was Valentine day the girls both had extra school work. It was a dark day. I wrote to Cora and Edith took it up town after supper. I had a [illeg] for Box of Candy from The Drug Store. I have been so sad today.
