Friday August 22nd 1919 I talked with Millie most of the forenoon. Do not feel well. a letter from Laura. Wrote some to her. Hattie, The Williams Girls, & Edith over to see Childrens Hospital. Edith called at Hedges and the other girls to Lou Hughes for supper. Saturday August 23rd 1919 Busy about my part of the house. Joe & Hattie to town in PM. calling Hatting home in time for supper. Edith over to Elmer Anderson. I was visiting with Millie and crotcheting some Sunday August 24th 1919 It rained a little so no one went away in forenoon. I wrote to Ida. and to Cousin Jen in afternoon. Edith reading a book and the others reading or talking. Fannie not well. Monday August 25th 1919 I tried to make a fire in the cook stove to wash but it smoked. I cleaned out the chimney and had a man from town to bring new pipe. Edith helped me wash. We all went to town with Cora in afternoon. Edith went to Lone Tree. I to Dr Cleveland and paid some bills. House with Rob at supper time. Tuesday August 26th 1919 I went with Millie to the train in forenoon. She went to Chicago. Came home with Rob at a little after eleven. I looked at the store. They are making great changes Hattie and Cora to a party at noon. Joe not very well. I sewed some after dinner and washed the bedding from Millies bed, and other things. In the evening Floyd Steves and Edith came with Glenn Moon to call. Aunt Sarah is in town for a few days. Ott to Des Moines this afternoon.
