Thursday September 25th 1919 We did not get up early. I slept in Mothers room and Hattie in the one I have had while here. The Byingtons with Rob & Cora were here for dinner. I walked to town at two oclock, did some errands and on to Coralville. I did some more work in the garret. I rode home with Mr Greir. Hattie to town for supper. a letter from Ida. The Nixon boys came. Friday September 26th 1919 Hattie and I washed some spreads and blankets for her. Mrs J Walter Lee came late in the forenoon. Knit in afternoon. The folks went to a picture show in evening taking Mrs Lee to town. I wrote a letter to Lydia. Saturday September 27th 1919 I walked to town in forenoon. Talked to Mr Garvosky about a marker to be put at Wills grave very soon. I made some purchases, came home, and helped Hattie with the dinner. Ott was out of town and his train was late. There was a big rush at the store and Rob was too. The family were all here for dinner. Cora to the store and the girls to P E O meeting. I sewed in afternoon and knit in evening. weather warm. Sunday September 28th 1919 Hattie to church with Ott. I was busy about my part of the house. We were all at Ott & Fannies for dinner. Hattie went over to Gibbs late in afternoon. Wrote Joe Woolf. Was down to Otts with mail. Monday September 29th 1919 Hattie and I pared apples to can in forenoon. I helped her get a box from the garret after dinner. I spent most of the afternoon fixing carpet. She went over to Scales after supper for eggs. I met her at Otts. LeGrand back to Detroit this forenoon.
