Wednesday November 19th 1919 I did my own ironing in the morning. I felt bad about my stomach again and lay down till dinner time. Wrote Hattie and took a walk before supper. The Girls both at home in the evening. Did not attempt the lecture. Thursday November 20th 1919 I felt better today, wrote Ida. It was 35 years today since She and Charlie were married. I went over to Lizzie's in afternoon to say good-by to Mattie Duncan. Did not stay long. Mr Haskins was here and Vene gave him an order for a monument. Laura went out for supper and later to Champaign to Teachers Convention. Edith and I took her baggage to the depot. Friday November 21st 1919 It rained some early in the day. I read the papers and crotcheted some. Late in the afternoon I went up to see Sallie Sheely who is not well and took some things Vene sent. We went to bed early. I feel so sad lately. Saturday November 22nd 1919 Edith went to Pekin to a spelling contest. Vene busy with the work. I put in the greater part of the day in bed. I am so sad all I can do is cry. A letter from Hattie and one from LeGrand. This is the wonderful home coming at home. Sunday November 23rd 1919 I wrote a letter to Ott. Edith and I walked out to the cemetery in afternoon. She had been to church in the morning. Laura got home at 6:20.
