Monday December 15th 1919 It was a cold day but Vene did the washing. I wrote to Hattie enclosing a letter from Birdie. I went up town late in the afternoon. I paid for The Delavan Paper for the next year. The girls went to Eastern Star in the evening. I worked on the spread and read the papers. Tuesday December 16th 1919 I had a letter from Hattie and Tishie Hedges. I sent that one out to Sophia Woolf by mail. When I went over to Lizzie Duncans on the afternoon. I took Wills picture up town to have framed. It was dark when I got home. Vene finished drying the clothes as it was bright today. Wednesday December 17th 1919 It was cold and stormy looking again today. I did some ironing for a waist and cut it out in afternoon. There was a report the world would end today. foolishness. Thursday December 18th 1919 I went up town this morning. Called at Sallie Sheeleys and got some thread to work an my dress. I wrote Hattie early in the afternoon and sent it with some mail Lydia prepared by a neighbor. I sewed some in afternoon and crotcheted in evening.
