Saturday January 6th 1912 Still very cold. I finished my waist and did some other work. I had a card from Ida. Aunt Electa is sick. I wrote her. I had a letter from Aunt Erma & Ethel. This is Ethels wedding day. Will to town in afternoon. Sunday January 7th 1912 25 degrees below zero this morning. I put in the most of the day cleaning up the house. Wrote to Lydia and to Lou Reeves. Will about the house most of the day Monday January 8th 1912. I washed some things and dried them in the house so I ironed them late in the afternoon. I did fancy work in the evening. Weather still very cold. Tuesday January 9th 1912 I washed some more things this morning and dried them in the house. I went to town at 2.15. Will gave me a check for $50.00 that I had cashed and deposited $40.00 to my credit at The Citizens Saving & Trust. I got a lot of things and home at 3.40. I ironed in the evening I had a letter from Nellie at North Henderson a letter from Lizzie Lindley at Lost Angeles and one from Rob & Cora Wednesday January 10 1912 I got my work done so I went down home at 10.15. I found Lorie there. I visited with Hattie & Lorie till late in the afternoon. Hattie went to town before I did I wrote a letter to Sister Ida. It was a frightfully cold day, below zero I believe all day. late in the afternoon.
