Monday January 29th 1912 I read most of the afternoon while Birdie was busy with her work. Soon after dinner I went down to the train Depot from which I started for North Henderson at 2.40 and reached there at 5.05 after a short wait at Monmouth. Uncle [Shane?] met me. I found Aunty fairly well but Ida had a very bad cold. Spent the evening visiting Tuesday January 30th 1912 I spent the day visiting with the folks here. And then was [illegible] in the afternoon. Ida is far from well. I had a letter from Will and he says to go on to Delawar if I want to Wednesday January 31st 1912 I left North [Hendrson?] about eight oclock Ida was not able to be up. I had [an?] [hour?] to wait at [Galesbirg?] and more than four at Peoria. I went up town there in the afternoon I [met?] Lou Duncan on the street. I got out to Delawar at 6.40 and called [Norms?] They were greatly surprised. A man who knew the family started over with me and Jim came to meet me. We spent the evening visiting Thursday February 1st 1912 It was bright in the morning but grew [illegible] stormy in the afternoon. [Morties?] boys came for dinner and [illegible] kept Robert at home he had such a cold. They both stayed all night I did not go out at all. In the afternoon I worked at finishing a [comfort?] they had made for [Mortie?]. They were packing up things ready to move today. I wrote to Will. I have enjoyed the day very much.
