Thursday May 16th 1912 I cleaned the wood-work in the dining room today and in the afternoon we got the carpet down and I took up the stair carpet and cleaned the stairs. Will went to see about some road work. I was very tired tonight. Friday May 17th 1912 We put down the sitting room carpet in the morning and I did a few other things. We had dinner early and went down in the buggy. Did some errands and went to the show of "Columbia." Elmer Anderson was with us. I then went down to Minnie Shavers to a cousins party. Did not get home till 6.30. a nice time. read in evening. Saturday May 18th 1912 I worked in the garden a couple of hours. I then cleaned [deleted text: all] the two carpets down with water and a cloth. In afternoon I swept parlor, cleaned the wood work, and worked a lot of curtains. Will to town twice. I did a lot of work after supper it was nine oclock when I was done. Sunday May 19th 1912. I did the morning work and Will and I drove to town for him to see Jim Jones about road work. We then went to the cemetery to put some lilacs from my bush on Mothers' grave. We stopped at Woolfs to see Mary who is sick in bed and they insisted we should stay to dinner. Came home before three oclock. I wrote a letter to Rob & Cora and cards to Mary Briggs, Lydia, Lizzie Lindley. and Lois Simpson. We spent the evening at home. The little chickens began hatching out today.
