Sunday July 7th 1912 It was a warm forenoon. I got things ready so Laura and I went to church. After dinner I slept awhile we had company in the evening, Lorie & Joe Williams drove out. Elmer Anderson & family and Mary & Tishie come too. We walked to the station with them at 9:15. Monday July 8th 1912 I was busy with the dinner all forenoon and wrote to Hattie before taking a nap in afternoon. After supper Laura and I walked down to Coralville was in Mr Davis store. Tuesday July 9th 1912. I did some washing and got the dinner. I rested after noon awhile and ironed some. It was very warm day. Wednesday July 10th 1912 There was lots of lightning last night and some rain. Will went to the West Farm twice to fix the pump. We had a talk about improvements out there this fall. Thursday July 11th 1912. We had a letter from Rob & Cora that John & Hattie would be home Friday morning and they were coming the 1st of August. We talked the matter over and decided to go out to spend a couple of weeks before they came. Laura will go down to spend the rest of her school time with Hattie & others. I cut out my [illeg] of solid embroidery and sewed all afternoon. spent the evening on the porch.
