Friday September 13th 1912 I put up the last of the grape juice. I have 13 qts Joe come over from the farm just before noon telling me the well had gone dry. We went to town to find some one and could not. In the evening I found Mr Huff could go out tomorrow with "Old Nellie" and John Wilson would go with him. It took a lit of my time to arrange it. Came down town awhile. Saturday September 14th 1912 I worked out in the yard most of the forenoon. Cora was sewing. Rob did not come out to dinner. John & Hattie were out in afternoon. I gave her the tatting bag I made I did evening chores in the rain. Rob came out to supper. We had a fine rain. I sewed some in afternoon no word from the folks in Delavan today. They got the well cleaned today. Sunday Septmber 15th 1912 Rob went away early. I got up to dress chicken and do the out door work before breakfast. I wrote to Lydia and got dinner. I rested in the afternoon. Rob did not go back till 4:15. Cora and I went to church in the evening. Rob home with us. It was 28 years today since brother Rob died. Monday September 16th 1912. I was busy with the work all forenoon. Two letters from Lydia say Mary has been sick but they will try and start home today. I went down town in the afternoon to get a lit of things. I sold a note of $300 to Mr. H. S. Weld and deposited the money to use on the west farm. We did not get to bed very early. Rob was late.
