Sunday October 27th 1912 The baby was soon better this evening. I left Nellie's at nine oclock for Englewood Station. Reached South Bend ar 12:10. Dick Given met me and soon after dinner Winnie and I went to the Mishawaka cemetery and found where Aunt Melissa Holmes was buried. It was fine weather to be out. In the evening we went back. Monday October 28th 1912 I wrote Will this morning and Win & I were up town awhile. With a friend of hers went to Verdaville in afternoon. We visited at home in the evening till I left at 11:20 for Ohio. Tuesday October 29th 1912 I had a good sleep in my berth last night, reached Columbus at 7:35 and left in an half hour for Chillicothe. When I got there at 9:45 did not find Mary at the depot. went right to the house and found her in bed. She was well enough to enjoy my visit but the Dr wants her to keep from working. We visited all afternoon. fine weather. Wednesday October 30th 1912 We all rested well last night. Aunt Mary Dunlap (a cousin of Mothers 94 years old) called this morning. Mattie came down before noon and in the afternoon we called at Josie Eskers and Blanche Blacks. I had letter today and did some writing. Ott & Fannie are in New York and had a nice visit with the Byingtons in Elyria. We spent the evening talking together and went to bed early. a pleasant day.
