Monday April 21st 1913 I worked out of doors most of the day. Fixed nests to set hens and helped Will put some of the old picket fence in place. He cut a tree and trimmed others in chicken yard. Hattie home from Burlington at noon. Tuesday April 22nd 1913 I helped Will nearly all day with the fence and we got all done we planned to. I set some more hens. It was warm with a strong wind blowing. we were very tired. My feet huirt. Wednesday April 23rd 1913 Will tried to do more at the fence but he was so tired and the wind blew so hard. he rested all afternoon. I read a little. Had a card from Lydia. & Jake was at Piketon. Thursday April 24th 1913 I did the work in forenoon and went down to Coras at 2:15 She and Mildred McCallister entertained the cousins. Had a nice time. weather cooler. I came home at 6:30. read all eve. Friday April 25th 1913 I was busy with the work all forenoon. After early dinner Will and I went to the West Farm. We had a nice ride. Hattie Rob & Cora were out awhile in the evening. Charlies birthday. Saturday April 26th 1913 I was busy witth the work and looking after the chickens. I went down town at 1:15. Will an hour before. I went with Cora to the Matinee of "A Modern Eve" and over to Hatties for supper. Lorie had been sick since last night. I came back to town with Rob so I came home at 4:30. a nice day. I read in the evening.
