Sunday April 27th 1913 I did not go to church but wrote some letters to Winnie, Lydia, & Mrs Parsons & card to Nellie. I read some in afternoon. We went to church in the evenign. Rob out to breakfast. Monday April 28th 1913 I baked bread & dressed a chicken besides the regular work. Went to town at 1:15. Did a lot of errands and out to Corrie Andersons to a meeting. A very nice time. I got home at 5:40 and did evening work. a beautiful day. Tuesday April 29th 1913 It was a fine day. Will helped me do a big washing and I ironed in the afternoon. we went down town in the evening to a lecture at the M. E. Church by Dr Ellis with views of "the Holy Land" I had tickets for Rob & Cora too. Wednesday April 30th 1913 We worked at house cleaning today. Got both rooms up stairs done. Took out both carpets. a fine day to work. Thursday May 1st 1913 We got the sitting room dining room and stair carpet up before noon. Will cleaned the sitting room carpet before noon. I changed a couple of seams in the afternoon and went to town at 6:15 to select paper for the kitchen. Jinnie Hoffman was here yesterday and today painting. Went into the Johnson Co Bank. It was opened today. Friday May 2nd 1913 We put down two carpets befoe dinner. Will got Charlie Wilsons team and hauled two loads of corn from down home. I washed windows and wood-work in afternoon.
