Sunday September 7th 1913 LeGrand came out and took us to church and over to their home to dinner. Spent a pleasant afternoon there and he brought us home about 5 oclock. I wrote Ida. Monday September 8th 1913 We spent the day visiting at home. It looked like rain in the morning and did rain very near us but not here. It was 33 years today since John & Hattie were married. Tuesday September 9th 1913 I was busy with the work most of the forenoon. In the afternoon LeGrand took us down to their house to The Aid Society meet. a pleasant afternoon and he brought us home about six oclock. talked with Lizzie in the evening. Wednesaday September 10th 1913 I had a busy forenoon doing baking, &c. Will took Lizzie and & I down town in the buggy after dinner. I got some things needed for the table. I heard today that Mary Briggs died at Battle Creek the night after her arrived there. I wrote in this book in the evening. Thursday September 11th 1913 It looked like rain this morning for the whole day but it stopped in time for Mary, Tishie, Eloise, Jennie, & Hattie to come out for dinner. We had a pleasant days visit. I did some work in the evening as I expect company tomorrow again. Nellie & Little Betty came this afternoon. Fannie met them and they are at her house.
