Saving...
Sunday February 8th 1914 Very cold. Every thing in the kitchen frozen up to make the work harder. had breakfast at nine oclock. Then got a nice dinner ready by one oclock. Hattie Agnes & Loyd Anderson with Paul Helmick came out for dinner. The young folks went back at 3:15 and Hattie an hour later. I read all the evening. Monday February 9th 1914 It was a cold day. I got the meals and did some sewing and worked on the tatting I am making for Mrs Teeter. Tuesday February 10th 1914 We were up early. I prepared two meals for Will in a basket and he went over to the school house to an election. I went down town at 1:15 and out to Mrs Emmons. I did not get home till 4:30 and Hattie & Cora came with me and Rob on the next car for supper. They all went down at 8:15 and Will got home a few moments later. I read some. Wednesday February 11th 1914 I was busy about the house all forenoon. I went down at 2:15 and up town to pay the light bill then over to Hatties to the club meeting. She had a regular Valentine party and such a nice refreshments. I came home at 6:30 in a snow storm. I wrote a card to Ida & Lydia in place of letters, all I had time for. Thursday February 12th 1914 It was a frightfully cold day. We could not keep the house warm at all. I got the meals and made a little tatting. my hands were too stiff to do much of any thing. Will did a lot of snow shoveling.
