Thursday April 23rd 1914 Will was too tired to do any thing today. I sewed till jist time to go down at 3:15 to Mrs W E C Fosters funeral at the Presbyterian Church. We had a fine shower jist before that. I got home at 5:40 and did the evening work. Friday April 24th 1914 I sewed all afternoon. washed some in forenoon. Will feels so tired he had been about the house resting most of the afternoon. It rained some late in the afternoon. Will mowed the yard for the first time this year this morning. wrote Lydia. Saturday April 25th 1914 Bro Charlie would have been 68 years old today. Will went to town and out to Woolfs to dinner as Mary is not very well. I sewed all day after a little ironing finished the waist to my green wool dress I have been fixing and did a lot of mending. I went to town at 7:15 to get some things and have the Dr treat my throat and ears. Sunday April 26th 1914 I was busy about the house all forenoon. After dinner we took a long ride with Otts folks in the Auto to Homestead North Amana & North Liberty. I got us some supper and went down to Mary Woolfs an hour. She is not very well. Monday April 27th 1914 I sewed all day on my light cloak I am fixing. I had to go to town and back on the same car for thread I wanted. It rained in the evening. It had been very warm all day. Will did not feel like doing much of any thing. I read in the evening.
