Tuesday April 28th 1914 I finished my cloak by noon. Will went to town to see a big Odd Fellows parade. I cleaned the garret. I had supper so I went down town at 6:15 to a band concert and later to a picture show. wrote Lydia today. I got home at 8:30. Wednesday April 29th 1914 I worked at house cleaning. We took up the carpet in south room up stairs and got it all back in good order and the hall matting up and wood-work cleaned. Thursday April 30th 1914 Did a big days work took up carpet in north room and matting in little room and the stair carpet. Got them all back so I was ready to get supper by six oclock. After that cleaned two closets. Friday May 1st 1914 We both went to town at 9:15. I helped Will select goods for a new suit. They did some errands for myself. I bought a new cedar chest for our firs. After seeing the parade for a small show we went over to Hatties to dinner. She and I spent the afternoon alone and looked over a big box of Mothers things. I brought a few things home with me. Came at 5:30. Saturday May 2nd 1914 Will mowed the yard and helped me do a big washing after dinner he went to town. I did some work in the yard and then did the ironing. Got done by five oclock. When Will came home he brought the Cedar Chest up from the depot. We unpacked it and took it up stairs. I did some mending in the evening. I did not get to bed very early.
