Saturday May 16th 1914 I was busy with the cooking most of the forenoon. Will went to town at 1:15 and I couple of hours later. was at Coras till 5 oclock Hattie came home and I went over there. stayed till nearly 8 and called at Otts. Come home at 8:30. I finished the pillow cases I am to send to Ruth Dow for her linen chest. Sunday May 17th 1914 It was a fine day. We went to church and had our dinner at "The Burchle" coming home at 1:30. I wrote in afternoon. Monday May 18th 1914 We got up both the sitting and dining room carpets before noon and both cleaned and put down in the afternoon. It was a fine day for cleaning house. Tuesday May 19th 1914 I ironed some curtains this morning and dressed to go down to Hatties to a dinner she gave for the Old Ladies at the home and the board of managers. It was a very pleasant affair. I came home at 4:30. Will was with me. Wednesday May 20th 1914 I washed curtains in the forenoon and did some work in the shed kitchen. Will got the screens down in the forenoon and after dinner painted and put them in. I washed windows and washed and ironed more curtain in afternoon.
