Saturday May 30th 1914 Will went to town in the forenoon and I was busy with the work. In the afternoon he took a long ride with Otts folks. I rested and did fancy work. I wrote a letter to Nellie. Went to town for an hour in the evening. Sunday May 31st 1914 I was busy all forenoon with putting the house in order and getting a nice dinner. Rob & Cora drove out and Hattie came on the car after church. It was a year today since I left for Delavan to go on to Oklahoma with Vene. Monday June 1st 1914 Will went over to the election to be gone all day. I did a big washing and got every thing cleaned up by noon. I sewed in afternoon. Cora started to her Father's by way of Des Moines this morning. Will came home for supper but would be away most of the night. I went down to Hattie's at 8:15 to stay all night. I took her some little chickens I found at the barn. It is 27 years today since Ott & Fannie were married. Tuesday June 2nd 1914 I came home at 6:30 got me some breakfast and did the ironing. Will did not get up till nearly noon. Did mending in afternoon. I do not feel well my ears and eyes hurt. Wednesday June 3rd 1914 I did baking this forenoon. Got letter from Nellie about our coming and wrote her. Will to town in afternoon. I slept some. We went down to the church at six oclock to dinner. Hattie and Rob were out. weather quite warm.
