Saturday July 4th 1914 Edith did some washing for herself and I did baking and got the dinner. Edith & I went down to open the old house for awhile. Rob had brought me a letter from Hattie that I answered. We got home about six oclock had supper and sat on the porch all evening. We brought Idas things out there. Sunday July 5th 1914 Will had not been shaved so did not care to go to church. I left things for his dinner. We went to church. Edith went up to John Stevens and Ida and I got our dinner at the hotel. We took a nap after coming home and visited on the porch in the evening. Monday July 6th 1914 I was busy with the work in forenoon. Edith was studying after noon. Ida slept awhile and I wrote a letter to Lizzie Lindley. We all sat on the porch in the evening. No work from the folks. Tuesday July 7th 1914 I got Ida's lunch ready and the work all done to go some with her at 9:15. I did not wait for her train. I got some things for the table and came home at 10:30. I slept part of the afternoon. We girls went down to the picture show tonight. The folks got home from Delavan and out folks from Minneapolis all having been away on Auto trips. Wednesday July 8th 1914 I swept and cleaned the house all over and prepared company supper. Will went to the races. Hattie Rob & Cora were our for supper. The boys went back to picture show and the girls went home at 9:15.
