Tuesday September 1st 1914 I went over to Mattie Duncans early in the day. Will was there for both meals and it stormed so we stayed all night. I had a letter from Hattie today. It was three years today since Mother was taken away. Wednesday September 2nd 1914 I came back over to Venes. She did her washing today and ours with it. I wrote Hattie and worked on my tatting. Will up town part of the time. Thursday September 3rd 1914 Edith was sick in the night and I helped Vene some with the work. She got up at noon. I went up town after dinner. Was at the dentists and down to Mattie Duncans to see if I left my rare beads there. I am sure I have lost them. I came home at supper time with Will. Friday September 4th 1914 It was a fine day. Will took an early start to go with Frank Woolf and some friends to the Atlanta Fair. Vene & Edith were doing some ironing I made a night shirt for Will. He got home about 7:30. Saturday September 5th 1914 I did not do much of any thing in forenoon. a letter from Ott says he will rent farm to Leonard Eavens for $650. Mrs Cobb took Vene and I on Auto ride in afternoon down to Green Valley and back by Uncle Jacobs old place. She told of being in Detroit and visiting Andrew and Joe Woolf. I made a ribbon hilt [belt?] for my white dress after I came home. Spent the eve on the proch.
