Thursday September 17th 1914 After a good nights rest we left Kansas City at 9:30 on a good train. As we were in a Pullman we had a very comfortable days travel. Reached Oklahoma City at 12:11 and Art McCallister met us and we spent the night at his home. Friday September 18th 1914 As soon as we had breakfast we started out to get some rooms. found a most desireable place just across the street from Art McCallisters, a whole upper floor well furnished for 20.00 a month. I was most of the afternoon there. Saturday September 19th 1914 I was working all my spare time doing the day cleaning our rooms, unpacking and putting our things to rights. We spent the evening on the porch at Janes. Sunday September 20th 1914 We spent part of the time at our rooms and ate our meals at Jones. I read a little. In the evening went to church with Art Grace & Mrs Phillips. Monday September 21st 1914 We brought a few things from Janes and went up to the corner grocery for others that I had enough to get the dinner with. Was over to Janes in afternoon for a little while and then went on down town for some things I needed. I met Will. We walked back together we found a place where his laundry could be done. There has been a warm wind blowing all day. Spent the evening with the folks.
