Thursday October 8th 1914 I did some ironing in the forenoon and got my dinner I was over to Janes of an errand. Went for my treatment and came home to do my fancy work. To Janes in evening. Friday October 9th 1914 I washed a few more pieces and got the dinner. There was a strong wind blowing today. I came right home from my treatment and laid down awhile. I wrote Cora before supper. I have not heard from home this week. We went over to Janes in the evening. Saturday October 10th 1914 I did a lot of baking and cleaning. Will was out with Art Mc-- all forenoon as he is every day. I went for my treatment and then on down town for some things I needed. It was a fine day. I had a letter from Hattie. We were over to Janes in the evening. Sunday October 11th 1914 I have taken cold and do not feel very well. I wrote to Fannie in forenoon and got the dinner. I went up to "The Art Institute" in afternoon to a meeting of the religious sect that Mary Woolf belongs to. Stopperd at Janes and Will came on to the rooms with me. Read in evening. Monday October 12th 1914 There was a change in the weather and I felt so badly with my cold I was not out all day. I wrote some and worked on my tatting. Will about the house most of the day. Mrs Phillips put a stove in front room.
