Tuesday December 1st 1914 I did up the regular work and Will & I went down to Otts at 11:15. He is 55 years old today and Fannie invited Hattie and I to dinner. We spent a pleasant day. I went home with Hattie and came to town with the young folks in time to come home at 8:30. Wednesday December 2nd 1914 I was at home sewing all day on dress making I had hired one and was not satisfactory. It is very tedious as it must all be taken out first. Did fancy work in evening. Thursday December 3rd 1914 I was at home sewing all day. I went down to the M E Church to a concert in the evening and got some groceries that I could not get here. weather quite nice. Friday December 4th 1914 I got my evening work done before Cora and Susan Garrett came out at 10:40. Rob came for dinner an hour later. The girls stayed till five oclock. We had such a good visit. Will went to town with Rob. Saturday December 5th 1914 I was busy with the house work all forenoon and was sewing all afternoon. Will went to town in afternoon and came home with lots to tell how he had sold Robs colt for him. Found out the Gill Paul place was for sale but too high and that the Seerley place on Summit St was for sale at a bargain. I did fancy work in the evening. weather threatening.
