Thursday January 14th 1915 We were home all day till about four oclock Walter took us down town in the Auto. Hattie wrote Rob and I put in a line to Will. She had a good letter from Fannie. Soon after supper we dressed to go down to the Presbyterian church to see Helen Taylor married to Frank Brown of Jacksonville. We came back to Taylors to the reception. It was all very nice. Home at 11:45. Friday January 15th 1915 It was a beautiful day. Walker out in forenoon and wrote a letter to Fannie. Did fancy work in afternoon and went down town just before supper in the Auto with Walter & Mrs Falk. Saturday January 16th 1915 We were at home all day. Walter and Mrs Falk went to town late in the afternoon and Hattie and I walked out in the orange grove for some fruit and sat on the porch till time to light a lamp. We all went in town at night to hear the band play. a summer evening. Sunday January 17th 1915 a lovely warm day. Hattie and I rode in with Walter & Mrs F-- and while they attended "Science meeting" We took a long walk through a shaded street. Soon as dinner was over all went to DeLeon Springs. Coming back another road called on some people who came here lately from Davenport. Then over to DeLand junction to see a R.R. wreck. I cannot describe the lovely scenery. We got home just at night. a letter from Rob. I went to bed early. Monday January 18th 1915 It rained most of the day. We had letters and papers from home and put in the time visiting & working.
