Sunday January 31st 1915 The Folks have company from Davenport, a couple of gentlemen. Walter took we girls to church in the mrong. We were in our soom most of the afternoon reading. One of the guests went away tonight. Wrote Will before going to church. Monday February 1st 1915 It was like a summer day. After early dinner Walter, Mrs F--, Mr Melwich, Hattie and I went for an Auto trip. First down town, then to call on friends, and to DeLeon Springs. When 7 miles of town Walter had tire trouble. A friend of theirs brought Hattie, Mr M-- & I to town they soon followed. We had supper and went to a picture show while the car was being fixed. Tuesday February 2nd 1915 It was a pleasnt day after a thunder shower last night. We were at home all day busy with fancy work. Hattie had a letter from Rob and I one from Will. Ida Anderson and Frankie Paintain. It has been very cold up home. All are well. Wednesday February 3rd 1915 They took Mr. Melnick to Daytonia this morning and Hattie & I went along. Mr M-- is going on to Palmer Beach. We had lunch and drove down to New Smyrnia. Through beautiful scenery. After we came back listened to the band an hour. We said good-by to Mr M-- and reached home before night. Wrote Fannie before we went. Friday February 5th 1915 It was a rainy day. I did a little writing and what spare time I had worked on that pattern center piece. Mrs Falk and Hattie went down town with Hattie late in the afternoon if it was raining. Read in evening.
