Monday February 22nd 1915 We got some things ready to take with us and soon after dinner Walter took us to town and over to the boat landing on St John River. The boat came in a few moments and we got aboard. It was a pleasant boat and the scenery wonderful. We had a fine supper talked with people on the boat till bed time. Tuesday February 23rd 1915 Reached Jacksonville early in the morning. Left the boat about 8 oclock. Walker to the Union station and in a little time got on a train for St Augustine. It was raining when we got there. We got in a covered carriage to ride around the town and see the places of interest. Were ready to leave at one oclock and got back to Jacksonville before three. Went to a hotel, engaged a room, then went about the city some got back to the hotel at dark. Were very tired & went to bed. Wednesday February 24th 1915 Were rested enough to start out again. First went down to see about return trip on boat and other information. Then took a car ride to the ostrich farm &c getting back to the place we got meals at noon. We rested awhile at the hotel and went to the boat. It was a better boat than the other and very pleasant people on board. Did not go to bed till after ten oclock. It has been a fine trip. Thursday February 25th 1915 Reached DeLand landing at six oclock. There was an Auto there to take us to DeLand. Went to a boarding house for breakfast and Walter and Mrs Falk soon came for us. We had letters waiting for us. We spent the afternoon with our work.
